John Heffron burst onto the comedic scene
during the prime of his college heyday. Although he graduated in his
home state of Michigan, Heffron's priorities became clear when he began
to skip class to perform live stand up. His first gig was on the
University of Michigan's campus at the Main Street Comedy Showcase.
Since then, his comedy has evolved in a unique and creative fashion as
he has grown from a fun-loving college student to a bewildered husband.John's attraction to excitement and his personal vow to never perform physical labor have both inspired and motivated his successful career. The endless list of credits that comprise his impressive resume highlight his many significant accomplishments. Having won the second season of NBC's Last Comic Standing, Heffron's popularity grew tremendously. John's amusing and extensive material has earned him two half hour specials and a one-hour special on the hit stand up show Comedy Central Presents. He has become a regular on numerous VH1 satire series including I love the 80s: 3D, I Love the 70s: Volume 2, and My Coolest Years: My First Time. In addition to being featured on Thom Filicia's Dress My Nest, Heffron has performed on CMT's Coming to the Stage, NBC's Late Friday, and Comedy Central's Premium Blend. He has made numerous appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and E!'s Chelsea Lately and 101 Craziest TV Moments. John is no stranger to live audiences and has taken the stage at several prestigious comedy festivals including the Las Vegas Comedy Festival, the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal and the HBO Comedy Festival in Aspen. He even had the recent honor of being a celebrity roaster for KISS' Gene Simmons on an episode of A&E's Gene Simmons: Family Jewels. John most recently shot a pilot presentation entitled: "Stepjohn" in association with Second City Television and Paramount Television for CBS based on his stand-up and real life experiences. This past December John was the sole host of the 2009 World MMA Awards shot before a live audience of 3000 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
From his early days as a DJ on Detroit's number one morning show, Danny Bonaduce and the Q Crew, to one of his current roles sharing the screen with Courtney Cox-Arquette on FX's Dirt, Heffron has hailed experience from many talented comedians. However, his endless innovation can easily be seen in his own comedy. John's first live stand up CD, Kid with a Cape, debuted over ten years ago. As a result of his constant touring, his routine has developed and grown and two more successful recordings, Good Kid, Bad Adult and The Better Half, have been released.
Many public and private corporations often call upon John for their company parties, fundraisers and conferences. Some of these companies include; Mercedes Benz, Citrix-a software company, Material Handling Industry of America, John Bailey Memorial Charity-an FBI event, Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster Fundraiser and many more.
John co-hosted The Tony Rock Project on My Networks, which aired last fall. He also has a brand new one-hour special released on DVD! Any stand up patron can relate to this comedian's diverse material that ranges from bar hopping adventures in his twenties to married life in his thirties. John Heffron's youthful personality and cynical wisdom result in a witty combination that nobody can resist. He has managed to accomplish what most stand-up comedians can only dream of.

To those in the know Arnez J. is quickly emerging as one
of the hottest, most talked about comedic artists in the game. His raw
energy, talent and comedic skill quickly landed Arnez the coveted
hosting slot on BET's longest-running comedy series "Comic View" for
two seasons joining the ranks of hosts such as D.L. Hughley and Cedric
the Entertainer.Arnez J's charisma and physical agility are unforgettable. "J is a whirling dervish on stage--he runs, jumps, spins, slides, slips, and mugs through a performance, acting out many of his bits while describing them," wrote Doug Kaufman in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Arnez J. admits of himself "I've always expressed my things through mannerisms and facial expressions rather than speaking
On his own at age 14, Arnez lied about his age to get a job at a gas station to work his way through school. With dreams to become a professional baseball player, Arnez began working as a flight attendant when those baseball plans fell through. It was while working as a flight attendant that Arnez discovered his comedic talent. He realized that he had the ability to keep the passengers and crew laughing and upon encouragement from friends, he made his first attempt at stand-up comedy. After that first night on stage, he knew what he wanted to do. He left his job with the airlines and made the decision to devote all of his time to a career in comedy.
Arnez J got a chance to combine his ambitions as an athlete and performer: he was recruited by scouts for the famed Harlem Globetrotters basketball team. After several months, a knee injury ended his Globetrotters finally clearing the way for him to devote himself full time to standup comedy.
An Atlanta native, Arnez began working the comedy circuit in Georgia and quickly became one of "Hotlanta's" funniest newcomers. A finalist in the "Bay Area Black Comedy Competition," Arnez was immediately noticed by the entertainment industry and was asked to make his first television appearance on Showtime's "Comedy Club Network." Numerous television appearances soon followed including appearances on "The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show," "Louie Anderson's Comedy Showcase," Comedy Central's "Make Me Laugh," NBC's "Friday Night Videos," "The Mo'nique Show", Russell Simmons' "Def Comedy Jam," headlining Showtime's recent "Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam," his own BET "Comic View Grandstand Hour Special", "Comedy Central Presents: Arnez J" and many others. Today, Arnez is widely considered one of the best working artists, with a polished and highly entertaining standup routine that keeps his audiences entertained without having to use profanity.
In keeping with his plan, Arnez keeps up a dizzying pace performing for sold out crowds at Arenas and other venues across the country.

Etta May

2011 | $8.00 - $14.50 | Side Splitters
Comedy Club |
813.960.1197
What's the best way to describe Etta May? "Minnie Pearl
with a migraine." To put it simply, when Etta May takes the stage, she
is the reigning Queen of Southern Sass. She reflects "You know you're
getting fat when you sit in the bathtub and the water in the toilet
rises!" Born and raised in Bald Knob, Arkansas, Etta May grew up
alongside nine older brothers, who referred to their baby sister as
"the human sacrifice." In fact, Etta May's parents - her father a
potpourri farmer, and her mother, bedridden by constant childbearing, -
did not realize Etta May was a girl until she required a training bra.
Etta May met her husband, Delbert, an aspiring truck driver, at a
friend's kegger. From across the yard their eyes locked in a love look.
Nine months later, she was blessed with a boy, followed by a girl and
two more boys. "That's where my comedy comes from. I just wait for my
husband or kids to do something stupid, and then I write it down."
Through the years, Etta May had a string of dead-end jobs. She
faithfully drove a school bus for over 10 years. She says she learned
how to handle unruly kids by Armor All-ing the seats, and touching the
brakes, all the way home. One night, while volunteering as a BINGO
caller, she recalls, "the ball sucker got stuck and I was forced to
entertain a toom full of angry Catholics. It was then I realized I
could make people laugh." Etta May, will take you on a redneck ride
through the Deep South. Etta May won the prestigious American Comedy
Awards: "Stand-Up Comic of the Year" and has appeared on Oprah, Comic
Strip Live, MTV, and as a guest commentator on "CBS Sunday Morning."
Etta May headlines the most successful all female "Southern Fried
Chicks Tour." Selling out theatres all over the country. Think Blue
Collar Comedy Tour with better hair! Etta May is also a headline comic
on CMT's "CMT Comedy Stage" which is the second highest rated show in
CMT history. The success of the Comedy Stage franchise led to the
production of the Southern Fried Chicks Comedy Tour special as the
first comedy concert series for the national cable network. She was
also the subject and first female comic ever on the biography show,
"Comedy Club." She joins the elite comedy company of Ron White, Larry
the Cable Guy, and Jeff Foxworthy, who are also featured in this
series. In addition to television, Etta May is a regular on the

comedy channels.Showtimes Thu 8:30 PM, Fri 8:00 PM & 10:00 PM, Sat 8:00 PM & 10:00 PM, Sun 7:00 PM.
